When we operate under the Kingdom's authority, dominion and control are restored to our lives. Romans 8:17 has a wonderful statement: "If we are children (of God), then we are heirs of God, and co-heirs with Christ, we share in His sufferings and therefore we share in His glory". You have to see Kingdom authority as the highest law in the land. Look, this is the challenge faith has faced since Jesus walked the earth. You must see the Kingdom of Heaven as a country where the King of kings resides. At His side is Jesus, and we all sit next to Jesus. The difficulty is to feel God's Kingdom in your heart while having to exist in the tangible world. To walk in the authority of God's Kingdom while the world around you is at war with it.
In Luke 17, Jesus spoke of the Kingdom as a spiritual kingdom and not something that can be seen. Jesus taught that the Kingdom's presence is within us through a transformed heart and life. Jesus went on to explain the Kingdom as righteous (right-standing), peaceful, and joyful in the Holy Spirit. The peace that transcends understanding that Phillipinas 4:7 speaks about. Understanding is a good word to highlight here. Our understanding as humans has developed to be narrow when it comes to spirituality, in most instances. In other words, when God impacts our lives, it greatly challenges our understanding. When I was a pro snowboarder, I was buried in an avalanche. Buried alive six feet deep at 19 years old, I began to panic; I thought to myself I don't want to die in panic. I surrendered to God the Father, and a peace fell over me that still blows my understanding.
What I didn't realize at 19 was that I operated under Kingdom authority buried in snow and ice. That authority allowed a peace to fall on me that is beyond understanding. I was dug out by a bystander who happened to be in the zone I was snowboarding in. without beacons, transponders, or a search team. Beyond understanding! Authority sets you free from the bondages of the world when you operate under Kingdom access.
Access means not worrying about what you will eat, what you will wear, or where you will live Matthew 6:25-34. Again, spiritually, you are living in God's Kingdom while your flesh is here on earth. To accept this, you must see human beings as mind, body, and spirit. The enemy tries to use our minds to get us to doubt God's word. But when we speak God's word, especially about the Kingdom, and carry it in our hearts, we unlock the blessings of Heaven. To be honest, I have been walking in this reality for so long, and my understanding still can't fully grasp it. Your spirit can take you places your mind can't fit.
Access also requires submission to the higher authority of God. Submission means you may not understand, but you submit to the word of God anyway. Your power comes from submission. Look at the law of gravity, for instance; it is a powerful force that can not be seen or touched. Think of God's laws as existing in the same unseen realm, yet they govern the whole universe. Things won't always make sense, the good and the bad. You will still have heartbreak and struggle. But you will begin to notice you come out of it different than others that have the same experience. Sadly, many who don't have God won't come out of it. I'm trying to explain the unexplainable. I've prayed to God to give me the language to help you at least decide to try and see for yourself. You will discover a person hidden in you that you never knew existed. You will be introduced to your purpose; you will have the boldness to be authentically you!
Matthew 3 is a great read to help with understanding divine authority.
