We are to act as ambassadors for God's Kingdom. When John the Baptist saw Jesus coming, he said the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. All Jesus talked about was the kingdom. He spoke of the church as being more like an embassy. Jesus gave the keys back to us to access the same power that resurrected Him. But keep in mind the same power that resurrected Him also acted under the will of the Father (Ephesians 1:18-20). Whatever we ask for in our lives, we want it to align with the will of the Father. And above all, we need to serve the Kingdom. But the power the keys provide is all we could ever need or ask for. The protection, the blessing, the anointing, it follows you, it over-takes you (Deuteronomy 28:2). There is plenty in the world; scarcity and lack are man-made.
John 14:27
"Peace I leave with you; the peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid"
Not as the world do I give. This means that, unlike people, God doesn’t take back His love because we disappoint. God is not withholding His love because of our past errors or choices. God wants only the best for you…period. He loves you so much, you matter to His Kingdom.
This is not about religion. It is about a Kingdom, God's government, that is to operate through us as true believers. We are the Kingdom; we are to act as Heaven's ambassadors here on earth. We operate under the full blessing and power of God to bring His will over the earth. Matthew 6:10 states: Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done here on earth as it is in Heaven. This is where the unbelievable happens. To operate under the will of the Father in the name of Jesus, who delivered the Holy Ghost to dwell in us! Religion is not teaching this. Read what God says about all of this, it is in your Bible.
Tithing has been misused by religion. In the beginning of the Christian faith, it was called The Way. Its members consisted of, Peter, Andrew, James, John, Phillip, Bartholomew, Thomas, Mattew, James, and Judas. They sold all their homes, and land, and distributed them among the community as needed. No one was to go hungry, without clothing, or homeless. It was expected that if you followed The Way, you would not worry about those things, that God provides. Greed or hoarding was against the Kingdom.
Tithing was never meant to be tied to blessing. In Acts 8:18-20, Simon witnessed the gifts of the Spirit when the apostles laid their hands on people and healed them. He offered his money to be able to do the same thing. Peter responded [Acts 8:20] "May your money be destroyed with you for thinking God's gift can be bought". We experience God's power and blessing through our faith.
It's a Kingdom principle to take care of those in need. Help out in your community; lift others up.
